Hello my friends!  I am very sorry, but I have set up yet ANOTHER xanga and am going to be switching to it.  I hope you will all subscribe to it and come visit...I've missed hearing from you and visiting your sites.  They have been very quiet as of late.

So, please drop a note when you subscribe so I'll know you're around.

I have been filling my days with making layouts for xanga.  Check them out if you like HERE

What else...what else?  Oh yes...nothing.  I am looking forward to being back at school for sure.  I need to do some homework, though.  It was my intention to get loads done these two weeks, and I was doing well in the beginning, but I got lazy.  And I need to find a job.  *Bother.

Cheerio!

I'm glad to get feedback on this layout.  It has been causing me troubles...and that makes me angry.  So, I will have to make adjustments here and there as I go.

So, I'm home for two glorious weeks of spring break!!!  I actually am missing school a lot.  I am already very bored here.  I can't believe that this is how I lived before going to school!  It's not that it's bad, don't get me wrong, but there's no purpose to my days.  I love how every day has a purpose at Moody...I'm expected to go to classes, to chapel, to PCM (even thought I hate it most of the time), to study, to be with friends.  Even getting meals takes effort and visiting CPO (post office downstairs) is a joy!

Anyways, I'm scheduling things to do with friends already so I won't be bored all week.  I'm also directing this weekend so that will make for a great weekend.

Quote of the Day (Wednesday):

Refering to the Master program:  "Masters in Divinity?  That sounds like a superhero group that can, like snap their fingers and turn into...things!"  ~Elle (Yours Truly)

Let's play Elle's Favorite Moments at Moody!

Round 1:

Setting: In the Fellowship Hall (which is like a commons area with a coffee stand) they showed The Day After Tomorrow on a screen.  Kelly, Jesse, and I went down and got a couch with a blanket and cuddled up for the night...it was quite nice.

Favorite Moment: The film, if you've never seen it, is a disaster movie where the world is entering a new ice age.  People are dying, fleeing, and are generally very cold.  At one point in the film they are discussing what the people in the north states should do.  Everyone in the room is riveted into silence..."At this point, there best chance is to stay inside.  Try to ride it out.  Pray."  Suddenly, from the back of the room, a whispered Yessss!!  rises.  As you can imagine, the entire room burst into laughter as Jesse leans over and giggles, "I just love Moody!"

Round 2:

Setting: Last night, as many of you may know, was the Oscars.  I am a dork and actually really enjoy the Academy Awards, so I went to the guys' dorm to watch them on their TV downstairs.  Daniel met me down there with a list of all the nominees and we made our picks.  For the best original song, I took a chance and chose "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" by Three 6 Mafia.  Daniel laughed at me, of course, but all I said to him was, "Eminem won for 8 Mile.  You're going to feel stupid when they win."

Favorite Moment:  I won.

Ha!  The guys were all laughing at me for picking it and just busted up when they won.  Imagine that...Three 6 Mafia...Academy Award winners.  Jon Stewart had a field day with the jokes...it was glorious!

Quote of the Day (Tuesday):

"You know how we have to write out new chapter titles for every chapter we read for New Testament Survey?  When I got to the story about the Eunuch not understanding what he was reading, I wanted to title it 'The Eunuch is Missing Something.'"  ~Jesse

So, I'm updating again before anyone saw my most recent post...so I'm combining them.

Have you ever bought a boy?  I haven't, but I bid on one tonight.  Dryer 2 was having their annual Bachelor Auction for an orphanage in Africa.  I went with a group of girls from my floor and one of them had been saving to buy a friend of hers.  I bid at $150 to help her get the price up...and it was quite the gasp-inducer!  Anywho, I wouldn't have paid for any of them since I didn't know them.  One girl (and two of her friends) actually paid $350 for one of the guys...it better be a good date, that's all I've got to say!

Today before New Testament Survey, I was sitting next to Jesse and some people on my bro-sis (brother/sister floors).  There are about 250 people in the class, so it's rather large and, therefore, there was much chatter.  All of the sudden, Daniel turns around from in front of us and says, "Do you know the song 'Under the Boardwalk?'"  And he begins to start singing it...under the boardwalk, we'll be having some fun.  Under the boardwalk...but that's all he could remember.  So, Jesse says "We'll be making some love."

"What?"  Says Daniel.

"We'll be making love."  Jesse says a wee bit louder, yet still inaudible in the loud room.

"What?"  He said again.

Well, I wasn't going to sit around all day and listen to these two play telephone.  Without thinking, I yelled "WE'LL BE MAKING LOVE!"  About halfway through saying it, I realized that this wasn't going to sound good to the rest of the room.  I must say, it brough about quite a bit of laughing...and many a strange looks.

Here's where I begin my new post

Today I gave blood...it's a longer process than I realized it would be!  I ended up skipping class today because of it...so it was like an extra Saturday.  How nice...and all in the name of blood!  They had me answer a billion questions, mostly pertaining to my (non-existent) sex life.  Not having sex before marriage just makes life easier...no need for certain shots, no need to worry about STD's, and easy filling out of forms for blood banks: just circle No to all.

The actual process wasn't bad at all.  I barely felt the needle and there was just a lot of sitting and sqeezing of a little red ball.  When they took the needle out, however, that's when the fun began.  The nurse walked away, of course, and I got super lightheaded.  Strangely enough, I lost hearing and became really overheated.  When she (finally) came back I told her and she placed two icepacks on my neck and chest...that really helped.  Then I did some more sitting and then they gave me animal crackers!  They were amazingly good!  In fact, I saved some and am eating them now.

I was an idiot coming back to my room, however, and took the stairs.  By the time I got back to my room I just crashed on my bed and went through the whole lightheaded-no-hearing thing.  What did I gain from my donation?  A sticker that says: "Be nice to me.  I gave blood today."  And don't you forget it!
